 the whole crypto thing raises an interesting question as to what is the nature and purpose of money. if the "the state" does not control the money supply then who does. i am also fascinated by mechanisms by which the supply of money is determined. how much of it is caused by the state printing more or absorbing it thru taxes and bond sales, and how much by banks lending out up to 80% percent of the currency they have of investors savings. |
