Last night I was invited by a dear old friend to dine.
We ate both steak and lobster and drank both beer and wine.
After which I cycled home and climbed into my bed,
and there I had an awful dream,
I drempt that I was dead.
I had no time for repentance for alas it was too late,
and immediately I found myself outside the Golden Gate.
"Why comest thou" said Pete "You know gluttony is a sin,
I debar you here for ever, you cannot enter in."
I hung my head in anguish and I did blush with shame,.
and then I saw St Peter's clerk write "lost" beneath my name.
So fate, I had to tow the line, and wait for the Down Train

I dreamed I was taking care of my 150 year old great grand mother (whom I never met and would be older than that). while somewhat infirm she looked more like a 50 year old yoga instructor...she warned me that I was going to get very old (i doubt it).
I also dreamed that people I used to work with were mad at me because they left belongings at work that were now missing, I pointed out that I no longer worked there.

I dreamed I was living out of a knapsack and had spent the night sleeping on a glass counter in a bodega. I sat in the front seat of a friends red convertible and started watching tv but two girls in the back were talking about their social life and I could not concentrate so i got up to leave. My friend told me not to go that I was going to "sink into depression" but I shrugged him off and admired a short marble top table outside a coffee shop. I need to go inside and get my rain gear and stash them into my knapsack.

Interesting that the surfaces seemed to be significant. You slept on one then admired another. Lots of other things too but that stood out to me. It's been awhile since I really thought about analyzing dreams.

Interesting that the surfaces seemed to be significant. You slept on one then admired another. Lots of other things too but that stood out to me. It's been awhile since I really thought about analyzing dreams. yes! I am not very deep so surfaces makes sense. |

There's a theme of transience... Living out of a knapsack, traveling and leaving. Lots of change and coming and going. But you find rest on something solid. Later you admire another solid surface after your friend worries about you "sinking" into depression if you leave again. Maybe it indicates that despite changes or perhaps a need to keep moving or seeking--whatever keeps you on your feet, you still possess a solid and secure core? An inner strength or trust in yourself? I guess it depends on how the dream made you feel. |

Another work dream for me! So boring I thought there's no point even posting it!
(But wait! There's more!)
Last night I dreamt I didn't report in for work. In the dream it wasn't clear why and I remember being confused. I also didn't call off in the dream. When I did report in the following day I was in trouble because I hadn't called off before and I couldn't explain why I was absent.
Pretty freaking dull dream isn't it!?
EXCEPT! IT had to install a new program on my computer which screwed everything up for several hours. And they said if they couldn't resolve it they would send another PC (I wfh). So I'm thinking well WTF do I do in the meantime? Call off or no? Because I really don't think it's fair to be forced to take PTO for something that's a company issue. But I also wouldn't be working. But a pretty ambiguous and confusing prob.
It was able to get resolved in the end and I won't need to take any time off but still pretty strange.
I have the most boring precognitive dreams lol.

@paprika - my dreams tend to be similar. I dream about work a lot, and I literally have dreams that just "make sense" where I'm programming or something.
Sometimes I'll try to lucid dream to obtain some sort of power over my experience. Like, I'll be dreaming and think "let me check if I'm in a dream", and I'll try to put my fingers through my wrist or turn on lights. I can never seem to put my fingers through wrist, and lights work normally... oh, and digital alarm clocks look normal. I'm not an expert on lucid dreaming, but from what I recall, these are all supposed to be a bit wonky when dreaming. In a recent dream, I did a few "dream checks", and some dude showed up and said "You're clearly not dreaming, why even try?" I then woke up.

I dreamt I was getting married last night. Nice gown, fit me completely, and my mother and aunt were fussing over me. It was a surprise wedding, and I wasn't sure if I even liked the guy. Then I called it off...but the next part of the dream had me getting married again - for sure, this time. But we were living together, and suddenly the entire dream turned into a sit-com.
I need to quit eating hummus before bedtime.
