Talk about films that have greatly impacted you and why.

Almost Famous.
I don't know why. I first saw it on tv when I was about 16 and it just hit me so hard. I think it encapsulated so much for me as a teenager who wanted to escape her situation. I think I was very much like the main character, Patrick and I was intoxicated by Penny Lane and the band aids and the whole idea of running off and living in some kind of communal living situation travelling around. I didn't feel particularly cared for or tied down anything. I just wanted to get way and have some adventure in life. There was just a feel to that movie that got me. It always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I haven't watched it in a while, but I think I'll download it tongiht.

Mr. Holland's Opus. I saw that movie once, but I don't think I can ever see it again. The main character reminded me of my father, all too much (in good and bad ways).
